Clearly a Fun Challenge…

I just ADORE transparent cards and embellishments….always have. It adds a different element that I just love. Today’s CHF Monday Challenge is a transparent challenge. If you have some clear product….I hope you’ll join us!

My design for today features two clear elements…a pocket card with the pocket created with CHF’s Clear Card Sheets and a clear die cut from Fancy Pants Designs. The Clear Card Sheets are CHF’s product spotlight for the next two weeks…that means they’re on sale. ;) I’ve written a spotlight on them with lots of tips and ideas. You may want to check it out.

A dear friend of mine had a birthday yesterday and I created this for her. Yes…a little multi-tasking but I did design this for her and I know she won’t mind. My friend loves beautiful elegant things and the outdoors so I made this garden-themed with her in mind.

Make a Wish Clear Pocket Design

jks-make-a-wish-clear-pocke.jpg

To create this design, I simply cut a sheet of CHF Clear Card Sheets in half lengthwise. Before folding and stitching it…I stamped it with my French Script Backgrounder and some foliage from the Nature’s Silhouettes in white Stazon ink and then punched a semi-circle from the top.

jks-make-wish-together.jpgThe card insert is designed to look like a tag but actually flips open once pulled out. I thought about stitching on the Melissa Frances lace at the bottom but wanted the inside to still look nice. It is simply adhered with a strip of Sticky Strip adhesive. The beautiful patterned paper is a stunning new line, Tea and Silk from Prima. I couldn’t resist adding some stamping here as well and stamped on a few butterflies from Asela’s Garden Friends set. The {make a wish} and inside sentiment are both from the new Birthday Centers set. My soft blush pink velvet ribbon and the dotted brown ribbon are both from Creative Impressions.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you play along! Check out some other designs we’ve created for this challenge…
