Some Rubber Mail

Published by Julia Stainton at 10:01 am under Card Designs, Cornish Heritage Farms

I just found some new stamps in my mailbox and what do you know…one of them in particular works with today’s SCS color challenge. Pink, Celery and Brown. I had to ink up my darling new Tom Allen Friendly Kritters stamp, pull out my Copics and have some fun. This stamp called Singing Frogs is released today along with the Beach Turtles stamp and their sentiments from Cornish Heritage Farms. Play along with this color challenge Here.

These detailed images are so much fun to color using watercolor, Copics or colored pencils. I love using my Copics especially and first stamp the image with Pitch Black Adirondack ink from Ranger. The clean detail is always fabulous and I love how it doesn’t smear with those alcohol based markers.

To mat my design I first stamped the pink layer with the new Dots and Circles Backgrounder stamp from CHF. This stamp is part of Friday’s release and I love its clean look. I decided I wanted to play along in today’s Backgrounder Blitz challenge so I took my Broad Stripes Backgrounder and “kissed” it with an inked Burlap Backgrounder before stamping on the card base. We’d love you to join us for our Backgrounder Blitz this week. Check out all the details here.

Wishing you a beautiful day!
