A Blast….

I’m having a blast with this Out of this World stamp set by Lizzie Anne Designs. I have two little guys (…some big kids too) and this set is perfect for them. It seems the 5yo has started an endless round of birthday parties and this is the set I’m turning to each time I need another little boy card. For this design I paired it up with this new Cogsmo 8 line from Cosmo Cricket. I just love the 8×8 packs that I buy from Jacksonbelle. Perfect size for small layouts, cards and altered projects.

Out of this World Birthday

This was a super quick card to make. The Cogsmo 8 pack came with this Out of this world journaling card. To create my design I simply stamped my sentiment right on the card as well as the red blast from the rocket. The card was then sponged with distress ink on the edges, matted with a solid paper from the package, stapled and adhered to the design. For my main image, the rocket, I stamped it with Pitch Black Adirondack ink onto one of the lighter blue papers. With my Copic markers, I added some simple coloring and then set the windows with my eyelets. After cutting out the design, I popped up the image on foam tape. I’m loving these 3D stars from Creative Impressions. All I needed on this simple design was one in the right bottom corner to finish it off.

Hope your day is a blast! Check back in tomorrow for a fun Ways to Use it Challenge!

This is so… cute! I love the eyelet windows (I had been using Crystal Effects but now I have a way to change it up a bit)! With 2 girls, I had not bought Cogsmo 8 (yet) but are certainly inspiring to go on a shopping trip over at JE!

So cute for a little guy! They were out of that set when I was ordering Once Upon a Time, but it’s still on my ‘wish list.’ This is another great reason why I should pick it up!
