Hope….

I just wanted to pop in with a card design to share with you today. I love this card as it reminds me of spring. The colors, the birds, the hope sentiment. Spring is such a time of hope and on this Good Friday I’m thinking of the hope I have for the future, a blessed hope.

Spring Hope

This is a quick simple scrappy style card. The patterned paper is from Scenic Route Paper Co. I love there strip paper with words, colors and patterns all in one easy to use layer. I believe this particular paper is from their Laurel line. To create this card, I simply distressed the edges and adhered to Kraft cardstock. Using my SU mat pack template, I pierced holes around the design then stitched with Linen Thread. The Hope sentiment is from Royal and Langnickel…their Faith Sentiments rub-on transfers. A beautiful Prima flower set with a K & Co. brad finish it off.

I’m off to spend some more time with my family. It’s a holiday today here in Canada and I’m enjoying the quiet (as quiet as five kids home gets) day. :)

    Beautiful work as usual! Do you mind sharing what kind of distressing you have done here? I use a Heidi Swapp edge distressor but am not sure that i’m really getting what I want out of it.

    Julia, Thank you so much. The card is beautiful. I think “Hope” is very appropriate for those of us who are affected by the downward trend of our economy.

    Oh this is lovely, J! I keep forgetting about those K&Co brads, I have the same ones and LOVE them. They must be buried in a pile somewhere…..LOL!!
