Flowers and Showers

Published by Julia Stainton at 7:28 am under Card Designs

Is it Spring yet?!!!!! Perhaps it is where you are but it is definitely not here! We’re still shoveling but it is making for a fun March Break for the kids. We had so much snow on the weekend that my sweet hubby was able to build up a nice sized hill with the tractor for them to toboggan on. They are quite thrilled and it is keeping them busy….the littlest ones anyway. :) I wish I could get some good pics. It’s quite discouraging as I’m STILL looking for that charger!

Now just in case you’re thinking I’ve forgotten that it’s Thursday…I haven’t! I’ve been so busy with the reno and assignments and kids on vacation that I just can’t keep up this week. Michele Boyer has been so kind as to step in and help me out today. I hope you have more time to play today than I and are up for a challenge. Check it out at WT157 and have fun! Enough for the both of us, K? ;)

I’ve been going through my stash of designs to see what I haven’t shared with you yet. This is a quick spring design using a few of my favorite things…stitching, Prima Cherry Blossom flowers and some Basic Grey paper and rub-on transfers. It’s quick and fun and just looking at it makes me feel like Spring just MAY be around the corner. A girl can dream right? Actually, even though it’s almost Easter…we still have a good chance of having snow on and off for the next month here. I can’t wait to see those beautiful bulbs pushing their way up through the cold earth and traces of snow. I’m not sure why but I love the smell of the earth in spring…full of promise to come. What’s your favorite part of Spring? :)

Happy Thursday…it’s almost the weekend! :)

Supply List: cardstock - Whisper White by Stampin Up, patterned paper: Perhaps 6×6 paper pad by Basic Grey, copper brads by Making Memories, Flowers by Prima Marketing, Spring white Rub-on transfers by Basic Grey, ribbon by May Arts,

very pretty, love your brad and ribbon combo, such pretty flowers! Sure hope you have luck today finding your charger!
May favorite thing about spring has got to be when the buds come out on the trees and they start flowering, such a lovely site to see a tree full of blossoms after it has been bare for many months!

What a great card. Love the colors and the big rub on for the focal point. We have had a touch of spring this week but it is suppose to snow tonight. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. My irises are starting poke through the ground. Hope they don’t get their tops froze. Hope you find your charger soon. Sometimes it help to stop looking for something because then there it is right where you thought it was to begin with.
