Summer…It’s all Good

I just love summer! A couple weeks ago I just got into a scrappin’ mood. Pulled out some of my summer pics and had some fun. These photos are from Labour Day…the last day we were able to hit the beach. Usually Labour Day weekend can be rather cool and this past one was no exception. No matter how cold though…my little ones braved the water…at least to their knees and hubby had to have one last sail. It still makes me smile just thinking about it. And of course…the countdown has now begun….less than four more months and we’ll be there again. Today we’re buried under another snowstorm that was preceded by freezing rain. Kids are home and I’m trying hard to work around them and get some things done! I just can’t wait for better weather!

The Good Stuff

Not much stamping in this clean simple design but I did managed to squeeze in a little. I was playing around with my Maya Road flourishes again. This time they are stamped with White Stazon ink and my Spanish Script Backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms. This design is off to my local scrapbook store for a visit so I thought I’d leave that journaling box blank until it came home again. 🙂

What do you do when you have the winter blahs? I’d love to hear about it! Have an awesome day!

Silhouette Thanks

With my kitchen totally out of commission…I needed some thank you cards for my very special aunts who have been helping out. We’ve been spoiled with Sunday dinners out the past three weeks in a row as well as a few other meals. I am most grateful! This design was quick to put together with my favorite stamps (Silhouette Blooms 2), some patterned paper scraps on my desk and a sketch challenge from Di Hickman. I turned it on its side for a fun twist. I really went with a dotty theme on this one. Dotted ribbon (Creative Impressions), dotted paper, little Dew Drops, a big round button and rounded corners. 🙂
