Simply Saturday…embrace today
I was cleaning up the other day…yes, I know…I DO get distracted very easily.
Especially if some random elements I’ve found in a pile go together so well! I came across this lovely pale lemon flower and this beautiful chipboard quote and had to put them together. The Asian feel of the quote just begged to be paired up with my Lizzie Anne Designs Far East set. As for the quote…
Yesterday is but a dream, Tomorrow but a vision
…reminds me that my life counts now. I only have today. Perhaps not tomorrow. {embrace} each moment , yes. Prepare for tomorrow, yes. Prepare for eternity, definitely.
With such a busy life it is so easy to think…tomorrow will be better, another year or so when they are all in school…. things will be better when the renovation is over…and it goes on. Sometimes I need to remind myself to stop and enjoy what the day brings. That sticky finger hug, the toys that get tripped over and even through the mess and stress of a renovation, be thankful that I am being so blessed that my husband is able to take this on for us. I think it is all about my attitude. Finding peace in that whirlwind.
This design is super simple and serene to go with the style and the quote. Simple stamping, simple sponging, simple flower, a little sanding on the chipboard to add to the look and a simple little knot of twine to draw attention to that darling little lantern.
{embrace today}
Wishing you a simply wonderful day.

really like this .pretty color.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful card and your wise words. We’ve had a crazy week around here, and I’m sure I didn’t take enough time to stop, enjoy, and be thankful. With two teenagers and two preschoolers in the house, my mind is constantly in different directions, and I’m often thinking about how “things will be different in a couple years.” While I’m tripping over baby dolls and basketball shoes, I need to embrace those moments. Thanks for the reminder.
I’m so glad that you are easily distracted, otherwise, we wouldn’t be able to enjoy this lovely creation. Even though I had heard the quote before, I copied it down as my “thought of the day”. Thank you.
Love the soft, sweet feel to your card, Great words you had to say there, we need to be reminded every once in awhile to stop and just be happy in the moment. God is good!
beautiful!!!!
This is so beautiful and elegant!!
This card is sooo beautiful. I like simple and elegant. And thank you for reminding me that today is the only thing that we have and we should be grateful for that.
Very clean and pretty, Julia! Love the little bit of hemp
You are so right, Julia. Perspective is everything, isn’t it. God has a way of using all of those circumstances in our lives to give us His fresh perspective……amazing that your card so beautifully communicates that same sentiment. Fresh and new…..a light heart. Thanks so much for sharing.
