Classic and Simple…

Two designs to share with you today! Both very clean and simple classic designs for two new releases today. Lisa Strahl is releasing Classic Essential Expressions and Cardmakers Shapes from Cornish Heritage Farms. Love these new sets. The Expressions are fabulous! Sixty-two…yes that’s right…sixty-two words and sentiments in this set. And classic means they fit in with every style. This is one set that will never leave my desktop. :) Cardmakers Shapes is a very versatile shape set…perfect for shadows, backgrounds, frames and just about anything you can dream up.

Birthday Wishes

This design was inspired by the satin ribbon. I’ve had this ribbon for months and finally just had to use it…its gorgeous. The soft shimmer of the ribbon is echoed in the stamping. I used Cosmic Copper Brilliance ink and the whole card shimmers. To add a little fun and make this design a little more birthday in flavor…I tied a little white birthday candle to the button/flower embellishment.

Just a Note

jks-just-a-note.jpg

I was in the mood for a quick clean spring design. I love this quick technique for “coloring” flowers with a stamped circle behind the image. The circle from Cardmakers Shapes was stamped off once before stamping on the cardstock. This allows the stamped flower from Bloomin Beautiful to be a shade darker for emphasis. The stamped flower on the card design, is actually NOT vellum but a sheer shape acrylic flower from Maya Road. They are fabulous to stamp on using Stazon ink.

Stamps:
-flower from Bloomin Beautiful (The Kim Hughes Collection) by Cornish Heritage Farms
-circle from Cardmakers Shapes stamp set (Mona Lisa Moments) by Cornish Heritage Farms
-sentiment from Classic Essential Expressions (Mona Lisa Moments) by Cornish Heritage Farms
-French Script Backgrounder by Cornish Heritage Farms

Ink:
-Black Stazon ink by Tsukineko
-Cool Peri & Aqua Adirondack Dye inks by Ranger

Cardstock:
-Prismatic White cardstock by Prism Papers

-corner rounder - EK Success
