Simply Saturday…{spring simpliticy}

A sweet simple design for spring. This set is fast becoming one of my faves and it is perfect for simple designs. Beautiful, elegant and great for those days when you just want to stamp. Not distress, layer, color…just stamping at its simplest form.

Simply Friends Always

This design is stamped with one of the latest Lizzie Anne Designs sets…. Far East. To create this design, I simply inked up the branch with Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink markers and stamped my impression. The flowers were added with a separate stamp in Pink Sherbert Adirondack ink. I then added the little lantern hanging from the branch. I just love how crisp and clean the impression is using the rubber stamps. The sentiment is also part of the set and is highlighted with another tiny pink flower. A little scrap of May Arts ribbon was knotted and adhered to the design with a glue dot. To highlight the flowers…a tiny dot of Liquid Pearls adds an accent and a hint of texture.

Quick Tip: When embellishing clean, simple designs…just use one or two subtle embellishments. In this case…less if definitely more. 🙂
