I used to do this, but was simply aware of words that seemed to "float to the surface" throughout a given period of time.

"Grace" was a word that would sometimes come up, "Intentionally" was another.  The periods would be much shorter than a year -- but it would be interesting to do a visual dictionary or scrap each of these words and how they manifest throughout the year...
