And Still More Questions…
It’s a busy day here with some appointments and so I thought I’d try and answer a few more of those questions quickly before I go!
And so, I’ll get right to them!
Kerry asked… I love your C’est Bon feature and the detailed instructions on how you’ve created your cards. Do you have a french background at all?
Hi Kerry! Actually no! I don’t have a French background at all. Both my parents are of British descent. My mom came to Canada from Belfast, NIreland in the 50s and then spent some time in California. She there met my dad who was visiting his sister, my mom’s friend and they were married a few years later. For some reason I just like French things. Maybe it is the style, maybe the fact that I loved learning French in school, I’m not quite sure. Maybe I just like the way things sound in French!
You will have to forgive me, those of you who speak it well… my French grammar is not the best and it has been a long time since highschool! I also take a little creative license if I like the sound of something. Papier is actually a masculine word but I think Belle Papier sounds SO much nicer than Bon Papier

Angel asked… My question would be what’s one supply that you use all of the time that you didn’t think you needed at first.
Hi Angel! I answered that in part on the weekend when I featured my little orange Fiskars scissors. Love them! Another product that I didn’t think I needed are those circular sponges that Stampin Up sells. I never used to sponge things and when I first started, I thought I could use some dollar store sponges….they just did not work the same. I think I’m now on my fourth package of those round sponges. Love them! I cut mine into quarter before using to make them go further. They seem to be the perfect size that way. Now…what I DO need is a good idea for storing them all! Anyone have any?!

Barbara asked… What do you think the hottest colors in the upcoming year will be??
Yikes! I’m not quite sure! I think Stampin Up has done a great job in pickign up some of the hot new colors. My favorite of those is the Soft Sky followed closely by Purely Pomegranate. As for upcoming color combos. hmmmm….I’m just going to have to think on that one awhile! There seems to be a lot of 80s looks coming back. I really need to get to the mall! LOL It has been well over a month. Just look around you there. A lot of color inspiration comes from fashion.
Anne Marie asked…How do you let go of your card art? How do you justify sending some of your cards out when you know they will be tossed? Many cards I make are, well, just cards! But sometimes I pour every ounce of creative energy into making some and when I’m done I hate to send it!
Letting go of card art….that can be a huge problem. I knew my mom would always keep them but I can no longer give them to her. My MIL keeps everything I give her. I guess, some designs I have a hard time giving away and yes….I have wayyyy too many in storage. Lately I came across a box from a couple years ago. Big changes is the best way to put it. I’m thinking a good way to use those is to give them to troops projects. There is always a huge need for cards there. Some card designs I know I’ll always keep…some that I had published, some special ones from the Dirty Dozen gallery. But I’m going to make an effort to give more away. I think you really just have to have the attitude, I really enjoyed making them…now I need to pass them on for someone else to enjoy and after that, I just can’t worry about it.
After all…as JulieHRR says… at the end of the day, it is just paper and ink. I do have one parting idea for your…sometimes you can design cards that will work as framed art. That may be an option for your or make a wall-hanging with your art. That way you can enjoy it all the time!
Craft Critique Carnival! If you haven’t stopped by the Craft Critique Halloween Carnival…make sure you take a peek. Lots of fabulous links for Halloween projects and there will be two days of it so make sure you check them both out!

If you need to give away a card, I volunteer. You can send it to me! LOL!
You know how much I LOVE your blog. I’m here every single day, every time you post. I love reading the answers to the questions, and I {heart} your artwork.
Look at you worried about the “masculin et feminin” in your posts…hee hee!
Loved your suggestion to consider framing cards, even if in some kind of temporary display…that would be cool! Also, thanks for passing on Julie’s comment about it being only ink and paper. That’s so true! Thanks again!
I store my sponges is the clear flat Stampin’ Up! stamp boxes. Stores easily and I can see the colors that have been used on the sponges.
