Belles Bonbons…It’s that time again!
Yes…it is that time again! Wow! time to help me celebrate 200,000 hits on my blog! Actually, today also marks 7 months of blogging…it seems like I just started! I guess time flies when you are having fun! Not all parts of the past 7 months have been fun, there have been a lot of hard days but I’ve so enjoyed my time spent here! Thanks so much for visiting. Sharing with you is what makes it all fun!

Julia, Congratulations! It’s no surprise that you’ve gotten 200,000 hits in seven months because your blog is absolutely fantastic. Yours is the first blog I check every morning.
My question to you is this: Do you prefer rubber stamps or rub-ons? I notice that your blog has a lot of creations with rubber stamps and that a lot of your Paper Crafts magazine submissions have rub-ons. I love to use both, but right now I’m on such a rub-on kick…especially those by BasicGrey. Rubber stamps will always hold a special place in my heart, but the rub-ons are a close second.

Congratulations! 200,000…WOW I’m not surprised really, I subscribe to your blog, so every morning I wake up to check out your amazing creations. My question to you is how would you describe your creative process? When you begin a project, what is your starting point…colour, paper, design? What do you pull out first? I ask because I seem to be all over the place, and pull out 10x what I might or even could actually use, I have a hard time selecting colours, and I am really challenged when it comes to designer paper. You bring it together dare I say “effortlessly”, is there a system you have worked out for yourself? Thanks for considering this.

Your blog is one I check every day. I have a few I read, a select few daily, some weekly and some once a month or so and you are so talented! That brings me to my question(s). Have you always been so talented in an artsy way and where do you think your creativity originally stemmed from?
I really don’t think I am very creative, however I love to create… ironic huh? I’d like to instill some creativity in my kids and hope if you answer my question I can begin teaching them to have a variety creative outlets that they love.

I have to tell you I am pretty new to your blog BUT OMGosh it is so wonderful–Yesterday was a really bad day (emotionaly) for me and as I looked at your post and thought “I can do that”. I “cased your card as best I could having none on the stamps you used but simular– had the CS and ink –my first time to put a prima on a card and goodness the therapy worked–my card was so outstanding–I felt I could go on, it will be OK afterall. So thank you so much for sharing all the wonderful detail and putting sunshine back into my day. It is a wonder to me how putting energy into creating something can change ones whole outlook for the time being.

Congratulations!! I’ve often wondered how all of you talented ladies balance home, children, husbands, business and time for yourself. I guess I did it once but am having trouble lately finding time to spend in my craft room for any length of time. My question is the same as Melissa S.’s….do you decide first which image or which paper you start your design with and how do you decide when to use watercolor, pencil, markers, etc.? I have a question, Julia. How do you organize yourself so that you find the time to, not only be creative but to be able to share it on your blog? Do you have a routine? Is it how your room and supplies are organized? Do you lay in bed at night, coming up with ideas for the next card or project? Is there a special needle I should use on my sewing machine? Is there a certain thickness of cardstock you shouldn’t use?

My question would be: Where do you find the inspiration for your pieces and secondly what do you do with all the cards you create?
I would love to be able to create the lovely cards you do, I simply am not nearly as creative! LOL… I tend to copy the card ideas of others rather than come up with something totally new.
I really need to get a few cards put away for all the fall birthdays in our house. Both DH and I, as well as 3 of our 4 daughters all have birthdays between Sept. 29th and November 24th! Five birthdays in a little over a month!

I just adore your blog. You have given us so much inspiration and “eye candy.” My question is:
“Can you look at any of your work from any given day and tell immediately what your mood was?”
Does this make sense? For example, when I look back at cards that I have watercolored, I know that I made them on an extrememly stressful day. Coloring calms me down and keeps me off prescription drugs! I can also tell by my color choices.
