The Color Challenge …Teal, Artichoke & Pomegranate
What a fun color challenge! I just couldn’t’ resist! I love these fun funky colors together. I just had to use my new Copic Markers and try them out. I’m thinking I’m going to be needing a little more practice but it was fun for a first try!
Topiary High Hellos
For this design, I started with the image and colored the two trees with my new Copics. I knew right away, I wanted to add little bows to my design with my May Arts ribbon to make them fun. I just love how darling this new High Hellos stamp set from Lizzie Anne Designs is. So great for so many occasions.
The image and coloring seemed to call for a clean design so I just used cardstock and almost no sponging. The main Artichoke layer is stamped with a darling little flower from the Designer Dots set, also from Lizzie Anne Designs. Very difficult to see in the photo but pretty in real life.
To add my little sentiment, I stamped it on a retired SU tag, set an eyelet in it with my Crop-a-dile and then tied it with some more May Arts ribbon. I was tickled to find that it matched the teal/artichoke color combo perfectly.

I think you did an amazing job with the coloring. Take care
Misty
Gorgeous! I love the tied ribbon around the trees!
Looks Great as usual!!! You really made those colors come together!!!
Wow - if that was one of your first attempts with colouring - you’re doing awesome! Can’t wait to see once you get some more practice - I’ll be falling over! Beautiful card and I love that set from LA!
Wow! Absolutely gorgeous
Love these topiaries — great job with the coloring, too! The Copics ARE a bit difficult to get used to, aren’t they?
Oh I love it Julia!!! This is just fabulous!!!! Great shading with the Copics!
Very pretty! Never thought I’d like that CC, but you pulled it off!
This is super cute! Great job with the color challenge! You really made it work, and I love your coloring
Cool card.
Oh wow, this is SO pretty! Fabulous job working these colors!
Hey there, Julia….I do love the design you used for this challenge. I also love how you used the teal as your base and let the other color’s supplement it….makes for a much ‘brighter’, ‘happier’ look…just my less than 2 cents worth! But you are so creative, I think you could find a way to make a Black and Brown card look ‘happy’! As usual, great work! Hugs, Barb g
I love your use of these colors together. Admittedly, this was a hard challenge, but you certainly pulled it off! Bravo!
