Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive {C’est Bon}

jks-scotch-quick-dry.jpg

I love this glue. I honestly did not think I’d like it. My SIL from Alberta told me on her last visit to Ontario that I should try it. Well….I bought it. And there it sat! From last October until this past June. Nine whole months. I thought it would be messy. I thought it would take too long to dry. But I have to tell you…I tried it and now I love it!!! I still like my Mono tape runner. It is handy and quick but I got sooo tired of designs falling apart. Really….after all the work I put into designing them…shouldn’t they deserve to stay together?!!! Actually, I also got very tired of spending large amounts of $$$$ on the tape adhesive. This glue is way more cost effective and does a better job. Thanks so much for that tip Elizabeth! The Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive is manufactured by 3M.

What I like about this glue…

  • dries quickly…the way I work, it has to!
  • inexpensive
  • doesn’t make glue lines on the paper
  • doesn’t come apart! Biggie reason here!
  • easy to hold, easy to dispense
  • acid free
  • non-toxic
  • photo safe
  • nice fine dispenser tip
  • a little goes a long way
  • large quantity lasts a long time – 2 fl.oz.
  • works well on cardstock, patterned paper, chipboard, meta, plastic
  • doesn’t interfere with machine stitching over it
  • easy to unclog – OK I’ll come clean…I’ve left the lid of and clogged it. I was worried. But…it was so easy to unclog.. The glue forms a smooth silicone-line plug that just slides out.
  • non-toxic
  • Cleans up with soap and water… LOL Keep reading. πŸ™‚ I’m experienced.

How to Use It

So easy…simple squeeze out a small amount of glue around the edges of your paper… πŸ™‚

Words to the wise…

I couldn’t finish this entry without warning you. Now you didn’t think you were going to get a laugh out of this entry, did you?! Well…my word of warning. If you glue clogs up…do NOT squeeze it up while you are looking down! The intense pressure just may cause the whole entire lid to come off and spray glue into your hair and eyes. Of course…this is just hypothetical. It would never have happened to me! πŸ˜‰ Or would it?! LOL Under normal use (by normal people…not me of course) the lid stays on perfectly well…no issues! It only comes off it you try and squeeze it to death while clogged. A picture? No… I was too busy trying to rescue my eyes! LOL

Where to buy…

I try and include a source when I do these articles. I buy mine in person at the Scrapbook Studio. OK…I’ve had a lot of great feedback! Thanks! In the US, you can purchase this product at Wal-mart, Joann’s, Office Max, Drug Mart. πŸ™‚ Still looking for more Canadian Sources. πŸ™‚
