Primas {C’est bon}
This entry is not going to come as much as a surprise! I LOVE Primas! I’m getting quite the collection! I just love all the new styles Prima Marketing is coming out with! After all, how many different varieties of flowers can you find in nature?! I’m always amazed at the creativity and workmanship of the Great Designer. Prima is doing a pretty great job at making gorgeous imitations.
Prima Marketing makes the most gorgeous flower embellishments as well as patterned paper and other goodies. The flower embellishments are perfect for many aspects of the crafting industry but are designing specifically for papercrafting. The flowers are mostly made of paper, though some are silk, leather and suede…..all are super cool and beautiful.
My first experience with Prima flowers were the Got Flowers line. A lovely little milk bottle full of small paper flowers. What beautiful colors. The market soon expanded to different shapes of Got Flowers and many other creative packaging ideas. So pretty! So hard to resist! From huge 6″ blooms to extremely tiny 1/4″ size, there are some for every project!
Where I’ve bought Prima Flowers…
- Jacksonbelle Embellishments - I’ve totally lost count of the multitude of flowers and different packages of them I’ve bought from Jacksonbelle. She even ordered in some lines special for me! How cool is that?! She is such a sweetie!
- Scrapbook Studio - My very favorite Martini flowers first came from Scrapbook Studio. I think I purchased FOUR boxes of these over the past year! LOL I’ve also bought a few other styles there too!
- Scrappin Great Deals - Sheila has a great selection of Primas as well and I bought the cutest little mini Primas there from her a couple months ago
What to do with them…
- glue them
- add brad centres
- eyelet centers
- group them
- sponge them with ink
- layer them
- add beads to the centers
- shimmr them with Pearl Ex
- stitch them
- button them
How I Store them…
Well, really…how I’ve STARTED to store them! LOL I need to make another trip to Ikea! I bought these beautiful glass storage containers a few weeks ago and they are PERFECT! Love the look and I can find exactly what I want! I can’t wait until I can store them all that way! What a pretty shelf I am going to have!
A tip on using them…
When designing with small Primas, make sure use more than one. Clusters work great! After all, it is rare to see a single small flower in nature. If you only want to use one, make sure you group it with another embellishments such as Hodgepodge Hardware.
Do you want to know my faves?
- Maritini from Caribbean Collection line
- Cherry Blossoms
- Lucid Collection
- Baby Girl Collection
- and the list goes on…
Do you like Primas? If so…which are your faves?! Have a fabulous Sunday!

Oooooooh, the photo is worth a fourtune, it should be framed and hung in a museum!!
I love the jars you are storing them in.
It’s really difficult for me to pick one of anything that I love, having to narrow it down I
have to think like someone will kill me if I don’t pick just one, lol. That said, My favorite Prima is the large daisy that looks like a Gerber daisy…after looking at your photo I find the green and yellow with veining right up my alley, perhaps a new favorite. TF Asking and TFS
WAHOO FOR PRIMA’S!!!
You ARE the Prima queen, you do such great things with them! Thanks for the review!
These are SOOO pretty - I’ll have to get some!! I love the way you store them too.
I adore Prima’s! I don’t know that I can narrow it down to just one type! In fact, I almost feel “unfaithful” by choosing-lol. I have been enjoying using Sprites and Pixie Tins lately due to the fact that I seem to be making a lot of more whimsical projects.
Loved reading about your Primas — I don’t have a ton — but of what I’ve used I’d say the Quick Pick Hydrangaes are my favorite — I have them in pink/green and in purple/yellow.
I like your jars. It’s like a Prima candy store!
I love primas too. Just started playing with the bigger size and LOVE those!
Tres Bien…..I really NEED some of these…oh so bretty
