Simply Saturday – Joy & Peace

Nice and Simple….that’s the way I like my Saturdays! And so, this card design is a very simple one. 🙂 Perfect for a busy stamper who needs to make lots of Christmas cards. Sometimes, less is more.

Joy & Peace

I love these simple white embossed square cards from Die Cuts with a View (DCWV). I picked them up at Michael’s months ago and finally got around to making something with them. Life is like that sometimes! Way too busy! I love how elegant and pretty they are and how simple it is to dress them up and make a very pretty card. The dots on this design here reminded me to snow falling and so I thought I’d give my new My Favorite Things Home for the Holidays stamp set another whirl.

I pulled out my Basic Grey Dasher Paper and trimmed a square to fit inside the embossed square. After sponging the edges and tying with a May Arts ribbon, I adhered it to the card front. With the coordinating green dotted paper, I stamped the tree from the set and cut it out. On the blue square I lightly stamped the mini branches from the stamp set and then the Joy and Peace stamps (3 separate stamps that make it really flexible) over top. Ta Da!It’s done! Give it a try! 🙂 And be sure to have a fabulous Saturday!
