CraftMates Locking Caddy {C’est Bon}

Published by Julia Stainton at 7:57 am under C'est Bon

OK well…..I’m finally going to give in and post this entry with no pics! I just can’t get them uploaded…server problems.  I’ll be back to edit them in as soon as is possible! Thanks for your patience and have a fabulous day!

Today’s C’est Bon entry is a little different from the others. Actually, when I started the {C’est Bon} entries, my idea was to included anything I use or love and think it is worth investing in or enjoying. These clear storage boxes are a product I use daily but you’d never know about, unless I told you about them! LOL So I thought I’d share how well they work for me.

The CraftMates Locking Caddies are fabulous! I first discovered a few years ago when browsing my local Michael’s store. I was thrilled to find them! I’d been having many issues with storing brads, eyelets, all those little goodies! Nothing worse than taking them to a crop to have the container open and spill all over the back. Of couse, it may be worse when your two year old gets into them and spills them all over the family room. How long DOES it take to pick up about 1000 tiny eyelets you say? A VERY long time! I was finding them for weeks! I LOVE those Making Memories eyelets but really, what were they thinking with those little hinged containers?! I’ve had them open and spill too many times to count! The …… keep all my tiny items in one place…I can easily see which color is best for my design.

What I like about them….

  • easy to use
  • transparent, easy to see my product inside
  • great way to corral all those tiny pieces of paper-crafting product
  • they have a safety on them… even when dropped the lids won’t open
  • Child-proof…all those pretties inside are very tempting to little hands
  • curved bottom makes it easy to scoop a little embellishment out
  • beads or other tiny items can’t drift from one section to the next
  • two sizes
  • stackable
  • inexpensive

What can you store inside?

  • beads
  • eyelets
  • brads
  • charms

I’m hoping this may help someone with embellishment storage! I’m trying SO hard to get organized here! I really need to. Time wasted looking for products is really time I could have been spent designing. My product stash just keeps increasing so I have to find ways to deal with it! As I slowly get organized over the next few weeks…well, I’ll be more realistic, the next few months, I’ll be showing you the ways that I am dealing with it all. Now don’t get too excited…I have no fabulous craft room…actually I don’t have one at all. Just a little corner of my family room. But I’ll try and share and hopefully you’ll help keep me on track, getting it all done. :)

I love these storage compartments; so easy to get your embillishments in and out of! I have purchased them at JoAnn’s; they often run a 1/2 price sale on their plastic storage containers. This one of my most favorite storage finds!

I found these about a year ago and have transfered all my brads and eyelts and clips and charms etc., into them , I got the ones that come in a handy carrying bag , and have 3 of them so far . I also like how you can get a couple extra containers to put in the bag , besides the ones the bag comes with . And yes I used a 50% off coupon on all of them at Michael’s . I know what you mean about the MM containers , I had the same problem , that is why I went searching for a solution . They sure are a great buy , you can’t go wrong with them , I sure love mine ! Awesome that you are puttin the word out !

I use these for beads and totally agree… they are well worth the money spent!

I have a couple of these and love them. You only open one compartment at a time, so nothing spills into another compartment. You can dump everything in one little compartment into your hand if you want without it affecting any of the others. Definitely recommend them. I’m slowly converting my little embellishments from my other less efficient storage containers.
