Swimming…
It is another gorgeous summer day here today and as it is the holiday weekend…we’re all off swimming at the beach! I thought today would be the perfect time to post this cute little Gina K design…
Just Keep Swimming
I had so much fun making this card. If you’ve ever seen Finding Nemo, you’ll know that a pelican rescues one of the fish and one of the themes is….just keep swimming. I just had to put them all together in this card design. The pelican was stamped and watercolored and then punched out with my Mega circle punch by Marvy. I also used Gina K’s darling scalloped circle stamp set that coordinates perfectly with the punches…so cute! The Wild Wasabit was stamped with one of these stamps and then punched out with my Giga Scalloped circle punch.
The card base of this design was layered with a piece of Flair’s beach line patterned paper and then an acetate layer with the stamped fish was stitched on top of that. The fish and the sentiment were stamped with Black Stazon directly on the acetate.
Quick Tip: When adhering paper on top of acetate, use a piece of sticky strip to get good adhesion.

I also thought I’d share a few pics from the beach on Saturday. It was an awesome sailing day. Sunny, windy and gorgeous…my favorite kind! On of my favorite things to do is sail on our catamaran. DH and I actually managed to get out by ourselves and have a perfect sail. I love it when it is wild enough to have a little adventure but not so much so that I’m nervous!
The yellow one is ours… We had a bit of a joke about it calling it the Banana Split.

The pelican card is adorable. I really do need that stamp. We have a LOT of pelicans here in Louisiana! And your dp is perfect. I need some of that paper too. But I don’t need a sewing machine anymore….got that!
Gosh…I use the word *need* a lot, don’t I? LOL
And what a fun day at the beach! Love the pics!
First of all your card is wonderful as per usual! Love the pictures of your boat! I did some sailing in high school and just loved it….well I love almost anything to do with the water! Thanks for sharing.
I love the card! What beautiful pictures of your dh’s boat and of the kids playing on the beach! I wish our beach was warm enough to go play at!

Oooooohhhh, that beach and water look fantastic!! Where exactly is this beach?? I had a “ride” on a catamaran once on Lake Winnipeg when I was just out of high school and it was out of this world. I’d love to try it again.
