In Mom’s Garden…

Published by Julia Stainton at 6:36 am under Inspirational, Photos

I’ve been spending most of my time these past few days at my mom’s to be with her. Her garden is beautiful right now, as always. So peaceful and quiet. So many things to enjoy. Birds, fish, squirrels, frogs…even a family of 6 raccoons that come out in the evening. No the ideal city pet, but they’ve made their home under the deck and we don’t want to wrangle with mama raccoon. Her babies are darling!

I love the sounds of the waterfall and the birds. During the day I often go out for a little fresh air and it is a wonderful place to pray. I can see the love the Great Designer in the care and beauty of his workmanship. I took a few pics the other day and while I’m not the best photographer, I thought I’d share them with you here.

The Waterfall & Pond

There was a darling little frog I was wanting to get a pic of but he must have been off somewhere when I brought my camera. I hope you all have a wonderful day and hope you can find even a few minutes to get out-side, be quiet and enjoy God’s beautiful creations.

Oh that’s such a beautiful, peaceful place to be!! Thanks so much for sharing it with us :) The waterfall especially looks gorgeous–a breath of fresh air. Now That’s a lilypond!! Great to see one bloomin’. Enjoy each day to the fullest.

What a beautiful garden! I can see why you find it to be a prayerful place — so much life and beauty there. When I’m not stamping, my own little garden is where you can find me, too. We have a little pond with 4 goldfish and a LOT of tadpoles right now, and I saw the most adorable baby rabbit last night while I was watering the flowers!

Thanks for sharing your special place with us. Your photographs are beautiful. I will keep you and your mom in my prayers!

I can see what you mean about being a great place to pray and reflect on the love of our Creator God. Reminds me of the song…..”I Come to the Garden Alone”. May you find peace there. My prayers are with you.

WOW!! Someday I hope that I too, can have a garden that gives me a sense of peace (right now, it just gives me headaches and weeds! LOL!) I know that things are tough right now for you and your family….keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that the peace you find in the garden can be found in your hearts and minds too. Starla (star)
