Some Morning Humor…
I needed a chuckle this morning and Benjamin just provided me with one. Don’t you just love the things that kids come out with?! I love the way they think, the way they view the world, their innocence.
Mom….why do killer whales eat seals?
Well, I guess they get hungry and need something to eat too.
Oh. I like seals… Can’t they eat bananas?
This is probably one of those “had to be there” things but I thought I’d share as it brightened my day.
It is always a good thing to take a few moments out of the business of life and enjoy a child or look at the world with their sense of wonder and joy. Take the time today to lie on the grass, watch a butterfly, eat a popsicle, blow some bubbles, smell the flowers. I’d love to hear back from you here if you did!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA that is just DARLING!!
Thanks for the reminder! It’s how I try to live everyday, because with a small baby and a Kindergartner, I find it’s best to just live in the moment. I love my baby’s laugh - it’s like water in the desert. She’s a real sweetie and today I just lay on the floor with her and played Open-Close-the-door at the play kitchen for about 20 minutes. That’s a long time to play one thing if you’re 1!
Another highlight - having time to do the TLC challenge today. It’s been a good day (despite the Sens’ loss to Anaheim…. but I did get 6 sets of stamps completely mounted during the game so that’s some consolation.)
We went camping with relatives this weekend. My 6 year old nephew said he also went swimming in the cat pool, just like my almost 3 year old daughter. She had been swimming in the “kiddie” pool. He thought it was the kitty pool. Too cute! If only we wrote down all of those silly things they say and do! We could be smiling all of our days.
Thanks for sharing your darling story!
I LOVE that story.
Cute, cute, cute! I remember some of those days when the kids were little. Now they’re both in college. Yesterday we had a family picnic and I pushed my old body off the chair and joined in the volleyball game. Played for at least 2 hours. Lots of fun, but oh, do I feel it today.
LOL I needed the chuckle this morning too. Way too cute.
Oh, my gosh, Julia! This is so cute and funny! I’m at work and I laughed out loud! I want to share this with my co-workers!
Oh my josh, Julia! That made me smile ear to ear!!!! Thanks so much for sharing! Have a great day! Hugs!

No, Julia, this was not a “you had to be there moment” I thought it was hilarious!!
My 4 year old granson keeps us rolling in laughter! Last week he came out of the bathroom and told his dad “I know what I want to be when I grow up dad” his father replied, “what is that Matthew?” Matthew said “God”.
TFS.
Aren’t kids just divine?! The most amazing things pop out of their mouths.
My son comes out with the craziest stuff… When he was nearly five we were taking a train trip and he was doing a drawing on a notepad to keep himself from being bored on the train ride. Another passenger asked him if he was going to be an artist when he grows up. He looked up so seriously and said “No, I don’t think so because my drawings aren’t consistant enough…” Where on earth he picked that up from??!! I have no idea, but he’ll be ten on Sunday and this still makes me chuckle. He can be such an “old soul” sometimes.

PS. I think killer whales should eat bananas too because I like seals!
Kids have a way of just putting things in perspective, don’t they?
