Inspired by…
Emily Giovanni! Today’s Featured stamper challenge on SCS it the first time I’ve been able to play along on the Featured STamper challenge. The challenge was go to through Emily’s SCS gallery and used her work as inspiration. I chose her card here, followed her layout and changed it up to make it my own. Emily was one of the first galleries I bookmarked on SCS and I always so enjoyed seeing what Em and her sister Kimberly would come up with next.
I needed a card for someone close who is going through some health concerns at the moment and so I used one of my favorite verse stamps…Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10 How wonderful to remember that I can take all my troubles to him and He will be there for me. Even when God seems very far away…He is still right there.
If you’d like to play along with this challenge…the link is here.
For my card…I used the same layout as Emily but switched up where the stamping and patterned paper would go. The central image was first cut to 2.5″ square and then stamped with first and second impressions. After stamping I cut it into 1.25″ squares and then layered them onto the patterned paper mat. ribbon for this project came from Sweet Miss Daisy and the gorgeous Basic Grey paper from Jacksonbelle.

So pretty, J! Love the flower in the center and the stitching!
My favorite Bible verse too! I made a 6X6 scripture card for a swap couple weeks ago. Here’s an excerpt of what I wrote on the back:
When I am going through stress or something such as an uncomfortable session in the dentist’s chair, I repeat Psalm 46:10a to myself over and over — dropping one word each time.
Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know that I am.
Be still and know that I.
Be still and know that.
Be still and know.
Be still.
