Blog Celebration x 2!
Since my blog comments are finally working again, I’m now over 75 subscribers and I just reached 500 comments…yippee!…time for a blog celebration. This time I have TWO prizes up for grabs! One random drawn prize from the comments on this post and a second random draw for all my Feedblitz subscribers.
The only thing that has me sad is I miss my new look! Until my blog host can work things out, I’m back to the old.:( Hopefully it will only be a short time!

Oh yeah, I started scrapbooking about 4.5 yrs. ago but somehow got hooked on stamping and cards….my poor babes will never have scrapbooks, but I can make them cards. LOL
I think the first stamp party I hostessed was a D.O.T.S. party about 15 years ago. I didn’t really stick with it but did get addicted about 5 years ago at my first SU party. Your blog is wonderful!

oops, I meant 1992-heck I was only 18 in 1972, so dont think I had a college aged kid then unless I was born pregnant!
Isn’t technology GREAT when it is working and on the opposite spectrum when it is not!!! I hope it is sorted soon.
I have been scrapbooking since just before the birth of my son (roughly fall 2001). I fell in love with stamping in 2002 when my SIL sent me a SU catalogue and by Feb 2003 I was hooked. I joined SCS in 2004 and the rest was history. Since I started blogging and sharing my work in Jan 2007 all I can do is DREAM paper crafts.

I’ve been stamping for (big gulp) almost 10 years! A friend invited me to a Stampin Up party, and the rest, as they say, is history!
I have been stamping for 2 1/2 years. I can’t wait to become a demo. Great give away. Congrats on the subscribers and all the comments. Doesn’t it feel good.

Congrats on your hits & a great blog. I’ve been stamping for almost 2 yrs (in May) and scrapbooking for almost 3 yrs. I also wish that I could figure out a way to do both. lol When I started stamping I had no intentions on making cards, I just wanted to learn how to incorporate stamping into my scrapbooking. Somewhere along the way I became more of a stamper than a scrapper. Regardless, I love them both and am definately addicted.
Hi Julia, I have been paper crafting for about 3 years. Last month I signed up as a SU demo…how fun! My hubby just finished our basement and I now have my own little corner of the house…all to myself to do what I love. Lets see I have been stamping for over 10 years now, and scrapping 4 at least half of that, if you would say I scrap at all. It seems my first love (cards) is still my one true love. I have been stamping for 8 years but only seriously stamping for about 3. Now it’s a passion. I’m not on your Feedblitz because I have you on my Google Reader - I subscribe to 30 or more stamping blogs and they are all on my Reader - it’s easier for me than getting emails.

I have been stamping more than 10 years. Shortly after I started, I tried to “branch out” and incorporate my stamping into something other than cardmaking and I began scrapbooking. Now I switch from one to the other and seem to get the best of both worlds.
Glad to hear your comments are working again, Julia. I’ve been crafting (everything and anything) forever, but was invited to an SU workshop in March of ‘98 — had no idea what I was going to. Loved it and signed up in July. Can we say ‘obsession’?

I have always done different crafts (I started sewing and making quilts when I was around 10-12 years old)! I started rubber stamping about four years ago and scrapbooking when my first grandson was born seven years ago. I picked up my first stamp in 1985 and the stamps back then were few and far between. Worse were the colors of the stamp pads. Thankfully it morphed into what it is today…or maybe it ISN’T such a good thing. Would we all be richer? But then again, poor in spirit! ; )

I have been stamping for about 3 years now and lovin’ every minute of it!
I had a friend that was a Stampin Up Demo and I loved machine embroidery and I went to her stamp camps but said I would “never” stamp. We went to our First Stampaway (daughter and myself) in Cincinnati three years ago and it has been onward ever since and my “million dollar sewing machines” are reduced to stitching on paper. I love stamping and the community that comes with it.

My first job in high school 15 years ago (oh, I feel old) was in a rubber stamp store. Then about 1 1/2 years ago I picked it up again as a hobby when my friend became an SU demonstrator. I have aspirations to scrapbook again using stamps, but haven’t gotten to it yet!
Love the blog, love the new look (it WILL be back, don’t worry) and all the wonderful things you share with us! I have been a serious artist since age 5. Really. I knew then that I was going to be an artist when “I grew up”. I love all mediums though and it was difficult to figure out which one would be my main thing. What I chose was to be goldsmith but an injury ruined my arm while I was at the “top” of my career. I then went into teaching and fell in love with paper crafts. Stamps came into my life 5 years ago and I couldn’t be happier!! It gave me the most wonderful medium for teaching those that insist they were not artistic. Hi, I’ve been a scrapbooker (not a very faithful one) for a few years & never really enjoyed it. I was introduced to SU! about 1 year ago & was amazed that I like it so much. I like this layout for the comments…they are so easy to read. Congrats on your milestone. I’ve been stamping for about 10 years and scrapping about 4, although I don’t scrap very much anymore. There are too many fabulous techniques and ideas to try in stamping and that keeps me occupied, whenever I have some “ME” time to play.

I have been stamping for 1 year. I made my sons wedding invitations, favours and programs. It was lots of fun…I do stuff for my class at school I have 6 autistic children in my class and have taught them some techniques as well. My cousin Louise from London got me started. I’ve been stamping for 10 years and I’m obsessive about it - I have about 5500 stamps - but have sold and given away hundreds over the years or I would have have even more. I sell a few cards to several people and have been published several times in some stamp magazines. I’ve have done some scrapbooking, but my main love is stamping cards and doing projects for my stamp club.
