Beautiful Day….
I made this card a little while ago…. so a few of you may have seen it before. I love the textured, “guy” look of this card and thought it was time to add a masculine touch to my blog. So many times I get caught up in florals and a girlie look…I guess, well, I’m a girl! LOL Who really likes flowers! But this card reminds me of the beach….I’m sure if you read my blog often…you have probably picked up that I am really ready for some nicer weather. My favorite place to be is on the beach. Lake Huron has some gorgeous beaches! This card was made for my husband’s birthday. No flowers and fru-fru for him! I thought the textures, the sandy beach look and the well-worn, well-loved look was him.
I stamped on the sahara sand and the main shell image is stamped in sahara sand. Designer Paper is by the Robin’s Nest. Gorgeous two sided paper with great texture. I sanded the finish on it to distress it. I desparately wanted to distress the edges of the main image but my distresser is lost in the mess that is my desk.
The little file folder tag is just so darling, I couldn’t resist it. It is made by Quick-cutz and works great in my Cuttlebug. Charm is by K&Company Life’s Journey line

Very nice masculine card. You do such a good job & are so creative.
This card is absolutely gorgeous! Did you “spritz” and “distress” the paper yourself or is that patterned paper? The colors are beautiful!
Oops, nevermind! If I would have scrolled down, I would have seen that you distressed it!
Great card!
