Heartfelt Shamrock
I’ve had this little shamrock heart idea on my mind for a while. I do believe I have seen it before, but I’ve never tried it out and I’m just not sure where I did see it. I wanted to make this card for my mom for St. Patrick’s Day. My mom’s name is Kathleen….how much more Irish can you get?! She is from Belfast Northern Ireland and came to Canada 45 years ago.
Today’s sketch challenge seemed to work perfectly for my idea. I hadn’t planned on making a card this morning, so many things to do today but….I can’t seem to resist a challenge, especially when I have an idea in my head that works with it. I designed this card with what I think of when I think of Ireland…Irish Linen, greens, Irish lace, even the hearts tie in….I’ve never met anyone from Ireland who didn’t love their country. I wish I remembered more of my trip to Ireland when I was small. I was only 5. The rolling hills and the beautiful Giant’s Causeway are imprinted most in my mind.

This is a beautiful card- very clever to use the heart stamp. You should go back to Ireland - maybe experience it w/ your children. I have several friends who have gone to Ireland recently and they all LOVED it. I would love to go someday myself!
Beauty of a card! This is the only way I’ve ever made clovers since I don’t own any stamps that will do it for me, LOl! Yours is just gorgeous, Love the colors and mix of stamps! and the name Kathleen (also my mother’s name and one of my daughters).

Oh, this is a beauty! I should make a card for my Irish buddy. He was back home for two weeks over the New Year’s break, and came back to Texas with the brogue renewed. LOVE it.

I love the green and browns together. Have family going this year for 3 weeks! I love the genuine article circle-where did you get it/make it? Wanted you to know that I cased the card and used it for a craft day with my Red Hat group-they loved it!
