Why didn’t anyone ever tell me this was so much fun?! My second digital design. This is Ben blowing out his candles at his fourth birthday in December. You just HAVE to try this out!

I can never resist trying out something new…well, design or craft-wise at any rate. If it has to do with heights…forget about it! I just couldn’t resist trying out some digital scrapbooking with this cool free download from Shabby Princess Designs. I saw it on Beth’s Freckled Fun blog and of course….just had to try it for myself. LOADS of fun, free, super cool and best of all…. NO MESS! Now this is just a quick, try-it-out layout…I’m sure I have lots to learn! Could this be the start of a new addiction?

Many of you know that my mom has been fighting melanoma for almost the past two years. She was diagnosed a week before Joshua was born, May 2005,  and has had three major surgeries, interferon and raditation treatments since. Tomorrow my mom will start Chemo therapy. I have been very upset to have been sick the past week with a bad cold and have not been able to visit her, but am looking forward to seeing her this morning. We would value your prayers that God will give her the strength she needs. I just wanted to have a little freestyle fun last night. I’m just loving all the doodle stamps that are out but don’t have any. Now this sketch is VERY rough but I was just having fun….I think I need to try it again and practice a little.
